where'd may go?
halfway done with the year (as far as months go; numerically in days i'm not so sure)
currently sittin' in the library, listening to kev brown -- i do what i do on freenapster.com.
such a laid-back chillin' type of album. the instrumental gets serious burn on the iPod, too.
8 days deep in june. the next 15 or so days are gonna be pretty fast-paced. beach & all-white shindig tomorrow. practice wednesday. shoppin' thursday. q-tip friday. blues fest saturday. concert sunday.
then class starts for me next tuesday, and three days later i'm goin' to boston. i don't think i'll be restin' till the 20-something...th.
catching up on my blogs and such. charles hamilton, you definitely lost. all respect is lost for you. it's one thing to acknowledge that Dilla (RIP) was an influence on you and your music (as he surely is for a lot of people, artists, musicians, and just fans of music in general). BUT, to be SO STUPID AS TO list him as executive producer of your album? what type of fuckery is that? do you know how many rappers were influenced & respected by 'Pac, Biggie, Big L, Pun, and a host of other rappers who are kickin' it up in heaven? and how many were as stupid as you to list 'em as executive producers of their albums? not a damn one.
and as an admirer of Dilla, i'm sure you know how protective his fam & friends are over him & his family; not only his fam, but the Detroit music scene as a WHOLE AND FANS IN GENERAL. did you think this was gonna be smooth sailing? fuck outta here.
that's my rant. ugh.
