ANYWAY.

Sir Duke is my favorite Stevie Wonder song. knowing my favorite Stevie song is a big accomplishment to me, seeing as to how vast & amazing his catalog is. this is concrete for me. whenever i hear this song, though, it reminds me of the first (and only) Taste of Chicago i went to by my lonesome in 2008. Stevie performed all my favorite jams, including this one. and i f*cking teared up. i was sweaty, two-stepping with some old white ladies & just...man that was one of the greatest days of my existence.
one thing i realized that day -- Stevie brings EVERYONE out. white people, black people, asians, middle eastern, rich, poor, young, not-so-young & everything in-between, one-legged & bow-legged.

**i seemed to have gotten my dates wrong. day 7 was 'posedta be a song that reminds i of a certain event & day 8 was 'posedta be a song i know all the words to. but who really cares, though, as long as this gets done.
